So, I guess the journal is in pretty dire need of an update. Was a while ago, and alot has happened since. I'm no longer working my ass off for minimumwage as a phonesalesman, I traded up! I now work with rubber and sand. No I don't manufacture painful condoms, I work as a vulkanizer (that's probably not even a word but who's counting) and a sandblasterer (look, another imaginary word created from swenglish). What I do is dress metal up with rubber, and to do that I first need to rug the surface up - less babybutt and more Chuck Norris beard so to speak! this is done most easily with sand. The rubber extends the durability. I like it ALOT better then my previous job, it's alot more independent and free. Not strapped to a desk with a phone by your side. The give-and-take principle is applied, which basically means to get the job done, if this means working 30 minutes in to your break - so be it. It all smooths out in the end since we can go home earlier or perhaps have a 1 hour lunch instead of half an hour and so on. The monthly pay is also very generous!

Photographywise then, well I got the Canon EF-S 10-22mm lens a few months ago and it has served me well so far. Pretty expensive lens but those extra millimeters was well worth it. It's wellbuilt and reasonably sharp aswell. And I guess anything would be a tradeup for a guy who's been using the 18-55mm kitlens for landscaping earlier.

The 20D can go up to 30 seconds before you enter bulb mode, but you can pre-program for longer exposures (up to 99 hours) using the Canon TC-80N3 remote timer. It is basically a shutter release that you can program information into. It's a shame that you need something like this to over-ride the camera, but it does the job nicely.
Cheers,
Evan
